Photo of the week!

Every Saturday, I’ll be choosing a favorite photo from my travels.

This week: Budapest

I visited Gellert Baths two summers ago while I was exploring Budapest.  I’m a big fan of Rick Steves so before I visited Hungary, I made sure to buy his book.  He raved about the public baths/swimming pools in Budapest so I was determined to visit one!  The two most popular are Gellert and Szechenyi Baths.  I’ve heard great things about both and decided to choose Gellert because it was the closest to our hotel.

For about $20 you can spend the day enjoying their gorgeous indoor thermal pools (my favorite pictured above!) and three outdoor swimming pools which includes a wave pool.  The facilities are beautiful and the whole place has such a relaxing atmosphere.  They also provide spa services for an extra fee.

Spending the day at Gellert Baths was such a memorable experience in Budapest.  I’d recommend it to any traveler who needs a break from sightseeing!

It really was the perfect place to relax after a long week of sightseeing. I have a post in mind that I’m putting out next week that I’d love to link up for Wanderlust Wednesday. Thanks!
